Yes. Unstoppable Code is free to download and use, and you don't need a subscription from us. Sign in with a free account, or use the desktop app as a guest before you create one.
What you may pay for is the model your agents run on. You choose how to supply it.
Three ways to run agents
- Your own subscription. Use a Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor subscription you already have. Your provider bills you and sets your usage limits, as it does today.
- Local models. Run models on your own computer through Ollama. They use neither a subscription nor AI credits.
- AI credits. Credits on your Unstoppable Code account. They pay for hosted models, and they can keep a chat going when you reach a Claude or Codex usage limit.
You can mix them. For example, run most chats on your Claude subscription and switch one chat to AI credits when your limit runs out.
Free AI credits every day
You can get free AI credits every day, with no card needed. They're off until you turn them on in one of these places. In the desktop app, guests can turn them on too.
- In the desktop app, open Settings, go to Accounts, and turn on Free daily AI Credits.
- On the website, open your billing page and turn on Free daily AI credits.
- The first time you open the desktop app, the Let's get started page offers them when neither Claude nor Codex is connected. Turn on Free daily AI Credits.

When you need more credits
You can buy AI credits to run hosted models. Select Buy credits on your billing page. To buy more on its own when your balance runs low, turn on Automatic top-up there.
If you work in an organization, your admin controls how much you can spend. When you reach that limit, the app asks you to contact your admin.

The desktop app for macOS and Windows is open source under the MIT License, with the source on GitHub.
