Connect your tools to Work

Connect the apps you use to Work in Unstoppable Code, and the agent can use their tools in your chats instead of only giving advice. Tools come from Marketplace as plugins and MCP servers. An MCP server links the agent to another app or service. A plugin packages tools for the agent, such as skills and MCP servers.

Before you start

  • Desktop app only. Project defaults and the steps below use the desktop app.
  • Create a Work project. See Create a Work project.
  • Sign in to your account. When you're signed in, most MCP servers you install are saved to your account, so your chats can use them on every desktop where you're signed in.

Add a tool from Marketplace

  1. In the sidebar, select Marketplace.
  2. Choose the Plugins tab or the MCP servers tab, then select the tool you want.
  3. Select Install. For an MCP server you added earlier but never signed in to, the button reads Connect instead.
  4. If the service asks you to sign in, a Sign in to connect panel opens beside the page. Finish signing in there. If the service needs your usual browser, select Open in browser instead.

When the tool is ready, the button changes to Try it, which opens a new chat that uses the tool. If the tool still needs you to sign in, the chat saves your prompt and asks you to authorize the tool. Select Authorize to sign in beside the chat, and your prompt continues when you finish.

Installing a plugin does not turn it on for your Work chats yet. Make it a project default, or turn it on in a chat. An MCP server you install while signed in is usually saved to your account, and your chats can use account connections without that step.

Make it a default for a project

Project defaults are the tools every chat in a Work project uses.

  1. Open Project settings. Select the project name at the top of a task, or open the project's menu in the sidebar and choose Project settings.
  2. Select the Plugins tab.
  3. Choose the plugins, skills, and MCP servers this project should use. Choosing a plugin here does not install it, so install it from Marketplace first.
  4. Select Save.

Your choices apply to every chat in the project, including existing chats, starting with their next message. Chats also get your global defaults and the connections saved to your account.

Turn a tool on or off for one chat

To use a plugin in one chat only:

  1. In the message box, select + or type @.
  2. Under Plugins, choose the plugin. It turns on for this chat, and a mention of it is added to your message. Plugins already on for the chat show Enabled.

The Plugins group lists only installed plugins that work with the chat's current model.

To see or change what a chat uses, open the Plugins card in the activity panel on the right side of the chat. It lists the chat's plugins, including project defaults. Select Remove beside one to turn it off for this chat only. Other chats in the project keep it.

Sign in to an MCP server from a chat

Some MCP servers, including those that come with a plugin, need you to sign in before the agent can use them.

  1. Open the MCP Servers card in the activity panel.
  2. Find the server and select Sign in. If an earlier sign-in has expired, select Reconnect.
  3. Finish signing in to the service in your browser.

Use your tools on every desktop

When you're signed in to Unstoppable Code, you can save an MCP server connection to your account. Open Settings and select MCP servers. Servers saved to your account are listed under Account connections, and your Work chats can use them on every desktop where you're signed in. To save a server from this desktop, select Make available in cloud beside it. In the MCP Servers card, these servers show as Account connection.

Ask for what you need

Once a tool is connected, ask for what you want in plain words, and the agent uses the tool in the chat, where you can follow each step. To make sure a plugin is used, type @ and choose it.
